How to read a tape measure
|
First let's understand the units of measurement. The basic unit is a foot. A foot has 12 inches. One inch is further subdivided into 16 parts. The hardest part is reading the subdivisions of the inches and understanding what each line represents. |

Tips:
|
- Practice. Good measuring skills takes time.
- Always measure twice.
- Hold
the tape measure firmly when measuring. A small change in the position of
the tape measure will affect your measurement.
